Patient and Agency Portals

CosmePay provides dedicated online portals to help manage approved treatment and accommodation payments connected with arrangements in Türkiye.

Depending on how the arrangement is structured, payments may be managed directly by the patient or by the partner agency. To support both routes, CosmePay can provide a secure patient portal and a secure agency portal.

These portals are intended to make payment management more straightforward, more visible and easier to coordinate.

The patient portal

The patient portal allows patients to view and make their approved treatment and accommodation payments directly.

Through the patient portal, a patient may be able to:

  • view the payments that have been approved for their arrangements;
  • make payments using the available payment methods;
  • see the status of payments that have been made; and
  • keep track of the providers connected with their treatment and accommodation arrangements.

The patient portal is designed to give patients a clearer and more structured way to manage their approved payments.

The agency portal

The agency portal is designed for UK medical-tourism agencies and patient coordinators who wish to manage payments on behalf of their patients or as part of their normal operating model.

Through the agency portal, a partner agency may be able to:

  • manage payments to approved providers in Türkiye;
  • view the providers connected with relevant patient arrangements;
  • instruct payments to surgeons, clinics, hospitals and accommodation providers;
  • oversee payment progress; and
  • manage payment activity in a more organised way across multiple patients.

Restricted and purpose-specific

Both portals are restricted to agreed providers connected with the relevant arrangements.

They cannot be used to:

  • add unrelated beneficiaries;
  • make general-purpose transfers;
  • send money to any person or business outside the agreed scope of the service; or
  • operate as an open or unrestricted payment account.

This is an important feature of the CosmePay model. The portals are designed specifically for approved treatment and accommodation payments linked to the relevant patient or partner arrangements.

Benefits of the portal approach

Using the patient and agency portals can help to:

  • simplify overseas payment administration;
  • create clearer visibility of approved payments;
  • reduce confusion around who is to be paid and when;
  • support a more professional and structured process; and
  • improve coordination between patient, agency and provider.

Who can use the portals?

Portal access may be made available to:

  • patients arranging treatment directly through CosmePay;
  • patients introduced through a partner agency;
  • partner agencies managing payments to their approved providers; and
  • other approved users connected with the relevant arrangements.

Portal access and functionality will depend on the specific arrangement and the services being provided.

Important information

The portals are for approved treatment and accommodation payments only.

They are not intended to function as general payment accounts, e-wallets or unrestricted transfer services. Access is limited to the relevant users and approved providers connected with the service.

CosmePay does not provide medical advice through the portals and does not determine clinical issues, treatment complaints or refund disputes.

No. Portal users cannot add unrelated beneficiaries or use the portal to make general payments.

Payments are restricted to the surgeons, clinics, hospitals and accommodation providers approved for the relevant arrangement.

This exclusion applies to qualifying payment arrangements that can only be used within a limited network of providers or for a very limited range of goods or services.

Access is limited to approved patients, agencies and other authorised users connected with the relevant arrangement.
