Fast International Payments for Treatment in Türkiye

CosmePay helps medical-tourism agencies and patient coordinators make payments to approved surgeons, clinics, hospitals and accommodation providers in Türkiye.

Our service is built around three practical advantages:

  • quick international bank transfers;
  • highly competitive currency-conversion rates; and
  • local cash settlement in Turkish lira where a provider prefers to be paid in cash.

We support payments to an agency’s existing providers as well as providers introduced through CosmePay.

Quick International Bank Transfers

Sending money internationally through an ordinary bank can be slow, difficult to track and unnecessarily complicated.

Through our established institutional banking and payment relationships, CosmePay can often arrange international transfers more quickly than patients or agencies may be able to achieve through their standard banking arrangements.

We manage the payment process, liaise with the relevant payment providers and confirm once the funds have been sent to the approved beneficiary.

The exact transfer time will depend on the currency, destination, beneficiary bank and any checks required, but we will explain the expected timeframe before the payment is made.

Highly Competitive Exchange Rates

Currency conversion can add a significant amount to the cost of treatment, particularly where payments are being converted from pounds, euros, dollars or other currencies into Turkish lira.

CosmePay has access to specialist foreign-exchange liquidity through its institutional relationships. This enables us to offer highly competitive exchange rates rather than relying solely on the standard retail rates commonly available through ordinary banks.

We support more than 25 currencies, including:

  • British pounds;
  • Turkish lira;
  • euros;
  • US dollars;
  • UAE dirhams; and
  • Canadian dollars.

The applicable exchange rate will always be confirmed before the conversion is completed, so the patient or agency can see what rate is being offered and how much the provider will receive.

Local Cash Settlement in Turkish Lira

Some surgeons, clinics, hospitals and accommodation providers in Türkiye prefer to receive all or part of their payment in cash.

Through our local connections in Türkiye, CosmePay can arrange for Turkish lira cash to be:

  • delivered to the approved surgeon, clinic, hospital or accommodation provider; or
  • collected by an authorised person from our local branch or approved collection location.

Who Can We Pay?

CosmePay can arrange approved payments to:

  • cosmetic surgeons;
  • clinics;
  • hospitals;
  • surgical facilities;
  • hotels;
  • recovery accommodation; and
  • other agreed accommodation providers in Türkiye.

An agency does not need to change its existing provider relationships to use CosmePay.

Where an agency already works with a surgeon, clinic, hospital or accommodation provider, we can add that provider to the approved payment arrangement once the necessary details and checks have been completed.

How the Payment Service Works

1. The provider is approved

The agency or patient gives us the details of the surgeon, clinic, hospital or accommodation provider that needs to be paid. We verify the provider and its payment details before any money is sent.

2. We confirm the payment arrangements

We confirm:

  • the amount to be paid;
  • the payment currency;
  • the proposed exchange rate;
  • the expected transfer time; and
  • whether payment will be made by bank transfer or local cash settlement.

3. The funds are received

Funds received for approved payments are held in a designated ring-fenced account, separate from CosmePay’s day-to-day operating funds.

4. The provider is paid

CosmePay arranges the international bank transfer or approved Turkish-lira cash settlement.

5. Confirmation is provided

The patient or agency is informed when the payment has been completed and can receive payment confirmation where available.

Payments Managed Through the CosmePay Portal

All approved payments are managed through the dedicated CosmePay payment portal.

Why Agencies Use CosmePay

CosmePay can help agencies:

  • move money to Türkiye quickly and efficiently;
  • access highly competitive foreign-exchange rates;
  • pay providers that prefer Turkish-lira cash;
  • reduce the administration involved in coordinating multiple providers;
  • provide clearer payment confirmation to patients; and
  • continue using their existing surgeons, clinics, hospitals and accommodation providers.

CosmePay works alongside the agency. We do not seek to replace the agency, take over its patients or interfere with its existing provider relationships.
